'Batt Koch' (The Lost Lane) is a tender family drama about a Kashmiri migrant family wanting to visit their homeland after decades in exile. At the center of it all is the grandfather, once a postman, who writes letters to the long-abandoned homes which were once full of life. Through his words and the family's journey, BattKoch explores what it means to hope. To hold on to the idea of a home, which one was. Blending the quirks of a middle-class Kashmiri family with humor and nostalgia, the film reflects on displacement, identity, and the enduring idea of home.
