Director : Sudhanshu Saria
Born in the tea estates of Darjeeling, Sudhanshu Saria earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film and Photography from Ithaca College in New York.   He is currently in post-production on the company's next feature film, SANAA, featuring Radhika Madan, Pooja Bhatt, Sohum Shah and Shikha Talsania in lead roles. He is also in pre-production on MASOOM, a one hour series for Amazon Prime, on which he is engaged to serve as the Showrunner, Writer and Director.   He is also writing and co-producing the next season of DELHI CRIME, Netflix’s flagship true crime drama that won the 2020 International Emmy for Best Drama.   LOEV, his feature writing and directing debut, world premiered in competition at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and was the first Indian film to screen at the prestigious SXSW Film Festival in Austin. It was also screened in competition at BFI Flare, Jeonju, MAMI and Frameline and won the Audience Award for Best Feature at the Tel Aviv International LGBT Film Festival. After receiving rave reviews from critics in publications like the Guardian, Variety, GQ and The Hindu, the film was acquired by NETFLIX for an exclusive, worldwide release and is currently streaming on the platform.   KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK, a medium length piece he wrote, directed, edited and co-produced with California Pictures, received it’s world premiere at the Busan Int’l Film Festival and had its European Premiere at the Tallinn Film Festival. It was awarded the highest award for filmed entertainment, India’s National Award for Best Director in the Non-feature section.   It also won the Remi Gold for Best Dramatic film at WorldFest Houston and the Best Screenplay prize at the New York Indian Film Festival. It was acquired for a worldwide release by MUBI where it is currently streaming.   Before turning to telling his own stories, Sudhanshu worked as an acquisitions, development and sales executive for companies like New Films International and Peace Arch Entertainment where he helped develop, presale, finance and distribute a diverse range of film and television projects in partnership with broadcasters and distributors around the world.
