Priyankar Patra, is a writer, producer and now a director with Aditya Vikram Sengupta's For Films. His credits include producing Once Upon A Time In Calcutta (2021, Venice International Film Festival) and The Daughter (2022, Palm Springs International ShortFest). He is also producing two shorts currently - the UK/Indian co-production The Good Life and US/Indian co-production Moti. Priyankar first started making short films at the age of fifteen and the hobby soon turned into a professional career choice. A graduate of the prestigious Northwestern University with an MFA in Screenwriting and Playwriting. He's an alumni of Television Academy (Emmys) Foundation's fellowship program where he worked under executive producers Mark Wolper and Kevin Nicklaus (of Bates Motel and Roots fame), in Warner Brothers, Burbank. Priyankar is also an alumni of the Locarno Industry Academy (South Asia) in association with Locarno Film Festival and NFDC, a program for upcoming producers in the film industry. Early Days will be his debut feature film.
